We have no idea why a Raccoon and an Oyster was requested but I can tell you that Jack thought it would be a good idea to do a drawing like a famous one he had seen. Eventually I worked out that he was referring to The Birth of Venus so he drew it like that. He added a pearl in too after seeing one on Spongebob that had a pearl in it. He thought the Raccoon could play football with it.
Jack had the most fun on this one, deciding what fruit and vegetables to put in this picture. In the end he settled on strawberries, tomatoes and beetroot.
My husband–Chris spends a lot of his time growing vegetables–tomatoes, beetroot, potatoes, mange tout, raspberries, strawberries, so if Jack could do a drawing of Chris in the garden growing some vegetables that would be brilliant!
Thanks to our new friend Jenny Halliday of Kafi Designs we are able to offer a special little something for a wee bit of fun. To help promote our new text message donation service, we are offering lucky donators the chance to get their hands on a bespoke cushion (or handmade children’s bag) featuring an existing Jack drawing of their choice OR if they want to request a new picture they can do so.
All you have to do is sponsor/donate Jack by texting JACK66 £5 to 70070 before Friday 1 July 2011 at 10pm (Scotland time) to be included. You can donate any amount as long as it is £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10. Don't worry, if you have already donated by text, you are automatically included, thank you!
After the fun ends we will put all the names into a hat and let Noah pull out one lucky person. We hope that makes sense, any questions, please ask and we will do our best to help!
Here is an example that Jenny supplied (this is one of her own kids, not Jack’s):
