This is the brilliant Press Release sent out today by our publishers Hodder Children’s to all those lovely companies, organisations and media people who might want to hear about Jack’s book (remember you can pre–order it already on Amazon, iTunes, Waterstones and WH Smith).
Jack continues his new found love of the paints with a brown and red robin. He used an orange felt tip to do his legs. A piece of yellow card snipped off at the corner for a beak, finished off by some googly eyes that we found in Mum’s craft box. You may find a few more cropping up over the next few pictures.
Jack decided to use some new materials and techniques for this one. First of all he thought a nice yellow background would be nice so used yellow paper. Then he drew the tree trunk with brown pen. Finally he got out the red and white paints, mixed up a girly pink and got to work with his fingers.
Simon originally asked Jack for a Fire Engine but kindly switched his request once he realised there were LOTS of Fire Engines. Thank you for that. Simon then asked Jack to do whatever he thought would be fun AND Jack has chosen Papa Smurf. With the new Smurfs movie on the way, Jack and his brothers are very excited about going to see it.
