Jack on front cover of ESPC

Finally managed to get a physical paper copy of the ESPC today. For those that don’t know what that is, it is the main place in Edinburgh and the Lothians (region of Scotland) to buy and sell your house. I think there are 100,000 copies printed each week.

Here is Jack’s picture of House with a For Sale sign at the front on the FRONT cover. Inside is a wee story, a photo and the yellow lightbulb.

When I picked it up in the shop I wanted to hold it up in the air and shout–"hey, my kid drew this!", but then I wanted not to be the mad old man shouting at strangers just a little bit more.

Big thanks to the guys at the ESPC for their kindness and faith. THANKS!

Jack hits 100 pictures in 4 weeks and not finished yet

At 10am today, Monday 18 April 2011, this website is only a very young 4 weeks old. Wow. An awful lot has happened to our family in only 4 weeks. Drawings and events from only a couple of weeks back seem like an absolute age away.

I thought I would put this little post together just to round up the last 4 weeks because coincidentally Jack has managed to hit the century, 100 pictures drawn in 4 weeks. So I want to say a huge WELL DONE to him. Mummy, Daddy & his brothers Toby and Noah are very proud.

The fundraising goes on and we should have some exciting announcements / news in the next few weeks. So stay tuned.

We are still really keen for donations as we want to get that total as high as we can and get as close as possible to Jack’s original target (1 million pounds before parent intervention). You can donate here or use the link on the right hand side of the site.

Thank you to everyone who has helped, messaged, emailed, called, shared, tweeted, advised and praised in the last 28 days. And a big THANK YOU to the folk who have sent Jack (and his brothers) some wee gifts. We have been very lucky to have such good friends, helpful strangers and family to help us out in what has been a hugely manic time for us all. The world can be a great place sometimes.

Anyway, enough from me, to finish off, here are some numbers from the last few weeks:

  • 6 years old
  • 7 packs of pens and crayons
  • 100 pictures
  • 2 chat show appearances
  • £12,176.49 raised
  • 1140 Facebook fans (in only 2 weeks)
  • 315 Twitter followers
  • 75,000+ visits to the website

Amazing, incredible, mental. Thank you to everyone.
